An Introduction to the project

This blog will follow my investigation into the words "diesel" and "duel" within popular media and culture, I shall research the past, present and future of the words and their meanings following different interpretations and ideas behind the words and the interests that follow.

The research may take me to two entirely new words or even a completely new interpretation of them.

My areas of research are the following three:

Present: How is this word relevant in culture and how is the word featured in media. have there been any major influences or by products of the initial word?

Past: How has this word been portrayed through older media and culture and how have views changed towards the modern day?

Horizon:  Are there any major changes to the word in the foreseeable future, are there any breakthroughs or alternatives and by products? What does the Future hold for this word?

My first word is
Diesel, I've chosen Diesel due to its high popularity and all of the controversy that surrounds it, and I intend to examine how it appears in its forms and interpretations today, how it has been depicted in in the past and what is soon to appear popular on the horizon. Diesel is a fossil fuel that has been riddles with controversy over the years and has inspired many books and film plots so should prove to be very popular in media.

My second word is Dueling, I've chosen Dueling due to its massive change over the years and the many interpretations it has. I intend to examine how dueling appears in many its forms and and then how it has been depicted in in the past. After examining dueling in the past, I will then see what is soon to appear in popular media on the horizon.

once i have followed the words through time to see the changes in popularity in the media from the words i shall create an interesting and marketable IP from them.

  1. You have made a great start.
For your research you need to explore a diverse variety of ways that your chosen themes have been represented in the media, both in the present and over time.
You can look at books, toys, radio, theatre, film, music, festivals, events, journals, magazines, comics, games, etc to see how these themes have been portrayed.
Also look at Google scholar and in educational and academic journals and papers to read and quote any academic research on these themes.

  2. You need to spell check your work as there are a lot of mistakes here.

  3. There is currently no research at all for "duel" - you are getting behind as you should have completed your past and present research for both of your topics by now.
